Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers used at Wow Aesthetics are made from the naturally occurring substance, hyaluronic acid. As babies, hyaluronic acid is found to be at its highest concentration, contributing to babies beautifully plump, peachy smooth skin. Hyaluronic acid also contributes to the matrix supporting collagen and elastin within the dermis of the skin which is needed for elasticity. Unfortunately, as we age, we make less hyaluronic acid and this in turn leads to volume loss and the appearance of lines, wrinkles and sagging.
Dermal fillers do exactly what they say - they fill the skin. They can be used in multiple different areas of the face to enhance, correct and treat a variety of issues. Typical areas include lips, cheeks, nose to mouth lines (naso-labial folds), smokers lines and marionette lines (oral commissures), and hollowing under the eyes (tear trough).

Lip Enhancement
In recent years there has been an increasing trend in clients wishing to enhance their lip shape and increase lip volume. At Wow Aesthetics we advocate a subtle approach to filling lips. If you are looking to achieve the lips of a specific celebrity, or you would like to change the shape of your lips drastically, we probably aren't the clinic for you. We DO NOT do trout pouts! We will respect the natural anatomy and balance any enhancement with the aesthetics of your whole face, not just what your lips look like in isolation. So, if you'd like to redefine a lost border to your lips, smooth a lined, dehydrated lip body, or would like to add some subtle volume, then you've found the right place!

Cheek Contouring & Enhancement
As we age we not only lose volume within our skin but there are also changes to our underlying bone and fat. In the cheek area, this can manifest itself by sagging in the lower face and the appearance of indentations within the apple of the cheeks. This contibutes to a more tired, sad and older appearance.
Younger clients may wish to enhance the contour of the cheek bones where there is naturally a lack of definition.
Dermal fillers can be used here to restore lost volume, treat cheek indentations and provide more definition to the cheek bone area. When lost volume is restored in the mid face, this often leads to an improvement in the appearance of the lower face.
